Cooking Classes
Enjoy an evening of cooking instruction, wines and a casual dinner of salad, house-made breads, miniature desserts and the presentation of the items prepared and demonstrated by the culinary team at Mirbeau. All classes will have a presentation on pairing wines with the dishes prepared and how poached vs. grilled salmon, for example, require two very different wine selections.
2012 Cooking Class Pricing and Times:Price: $45 per person (including taxes & gratuities). Price includes one hour class, supplies (if interactive), meal (if classroom style), all tasting wines. |

Southern Italian Wines - May 23rdSpend some time with good friends, good food and good wine while taking the experience of Southern Italy to heart. Our Southern Italy Wine Dinner will feature traditional Southern Italian menu choices featuring pasta, seafood, and vegetables flavoured with tomatoes, olive oils, and delicious herbes and spices. You and your friends will dine casually buffet style pairing with wines chosen from Sicily and around the Southern areas of Italy. Come and taste Southern Italy with us.
Please note that the menu below is subject to change. Substitutions may be made by the kitchen while keeping the spirit of the menu.
Antipasti Offerings: Fritelle (savory stuffed fried dough), Panelle (chickpea fritters), Peppers Alla Nonna (Granma's roasted peppers), Caponata (Sicilian pickled vegetables), Calamari Fritte, Olive Fritte (stuffed fried olives), Tapenade, Frutti di Mare (mixed seafood salad in olive oil)
Pasta & Entrées: Bucatini al'Amatriciana (straw shaped pasta in Amatricia style), Pesce al'Acqua Pazza (fish in crazy water), Scampi e Langostinos Oreganata (shrimp and miniature lobster in oregano bread crumbs)
