Skaneateles’ Award-Winning Mirbeau Inn & Spa to Open Second Location in Plymouth, Mass. at The Pinehills

SKANEATELES, N.Y. – Mirbeau Inn & Spa, the intimate, Monet-inspired Finger Lakes retreat, has just announced a second location, slated to open in Spring 2014 at The Pinehills in Plymouth, Mass. Renowned for its expansive spa, award-winning dining and world-class service, Mirbeau has become a highly-coveted escape for guests from near and far.

Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills will be an idyllic 50-room getaway featuring a 14,000-square-foot spa which will offer extensive membership programs for residents of the local communities, a fine dining restaurant, and a unique wine bar and bistro. For celebratory gatherings on the property, it will house 5,000 square feet of event space along with a special garden for weddings and special occasions of up to 250 people. Spa Mirbeau will offer a wide range of services and treatments, from massages, body wraps and body scrubs, to facials, manicures, pedicures, and couples treatments. It will also feature a fitness studio where daily classes and wellness programs will be held, a state-of-the-art gym, locker rooms with eucalyptus-infused steam rooms, and a heated outdoor plunge pool with individually controlled massaging jets.

Designed by Boston-based architecture firm Arrowstreet, construction will begin in February 2013. Situated just 45 miles from Boston and eight miles from Cape Cod, the site of the property is a scenic wooded parcel in the Village Green at The Pinehills, overlooking the popular Rees Jones golf course. The distinctive building style will recreate the look of a romantic French country manor house and will feature Mirbeau’s beautiful signature Monet Pond Gardens, inspired by the French Impressionist’s renowned “Water Lilies” painting.

“We are delighted to introduce the Mirbeau brand to New England, where it will truly be a one-of-a-kind destination in the region,” said Gary Dower, Principal of Mirbeau Hospitality Services. “We share a similar philosophy and clientele with The Pinehills. It is an excellent marriage of brands,” said Linda Dower, Princiap of Mirbeau Hospitality Services.

“Mirbeau Hospitality Services is thrilled to announce plans to build a second property,” said John Logan, CEO of Mirbeau Hospitality Services. “With the success of Mirbeau’s Skaneateles location, it seemed like an obvious choice to expand on the distinctive brand we have built. We are overjoyed to be welcomed into the flourishing and award-winning Pinehills community.”

“We have long-awaited a fitting hospitality partner to join The Pinehills community, and Mirbeau Inn & Spa aligns perfectly with our vision,” said Tony Green, Managing Partner of The Pinehills LLC. “We are ecstatic about the new addition and are confident it will thrive here as an attraction for both local residents and out of town visitors.”
