Mirbeau's Receives Wine Spectator's 2008 Award of Excellence
07/30/2008 - Skaneateles, NY
Mirbeau's, Mirbeau Inn & Spa's award winning restaurant, recently earned the Wine Spectator's 2008 Award of Excellence. Wine Spectator's Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
"We are so proud and have worked very hard to have earned this recognition," said Edward Moro, executive chef of Mirbeau's. "At Mirbeau's, we are known for offering a unique multi-course dining experience complete with a comprehensive wine selection at it's best."
The property is no newcomer to national recognition, having also been recently ranked Best for Romance in the 5th Annual Spa Finders Reader's Choice Awards. Mirbeau Inn & Spa, located in the Fingerlakes Region of Central New York, is New York's only destination resort awarded Mobil Four-Star for Inn, Spa and Dining.
To qualify for an award, the list must present complete, accurate wine information. It must include vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines available by the glass. Complete producer names and correct spellings are mandatory, while the overall presentation and appearance of the list is also taken into consideration. After meeting these basic requirements, lists are judged for one of our three awards.3
