Mirbeau Inn & Spa Kicks Off its Wednesday Wine Dinner Series Showcasing Dreaming Tree Wines by Dave Matthews and Steve Reeder
01/17/2012 - Skaneateles, NY
WHAT: Mirbeau Inn & Spa, known for its award-winning food and wine, along with its world-class service and cozy atmosphere, begins its popular Wine Club dinner series on Wednesday, January 25th, with a savory, four-course, wine-paired dinner featuring Dreaming Tree Wines by Dave Matthews and Steve Reeder and live, acoustic music by the Bristol Brothers of New Day. When Sonoma winemaker Steve Reeder and musician Dave Matthews met, they realized they had a few things in common, including a passion for making and drinking great wine. For The Dreaming Tree wines, a label that debuted in October 2011, they set out to create an approachable Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Red Blend, finding inspiration in the down-to-earth characters and unforgettable flavors that give California’s wine country its rare charm.
Mirbeau Inn & Spa’s themed wine dinners are offered monthly January through November, exploring different wines from all over the region and the world. For the complete schedule of upcoming wine dinners visit: http://mirbeau.com/dining/the-wine-club-at-mirbeau-presents-3/#Wine%20Seminars

About Dreaming Tree Wines
Dreaming Tree Wines is the collaboration of Award-winning Sonoma County winemaker Steve Reeder and world-renowned musician Dave Matthews. A collection of approachable, high-quality wines developed in partnership with Constellation Wines U.S., The Dreaming Tree wines portfolio, founded and harvested in California’s wine country, is aptly named after the Dave Matthews Band track, “The Dreaming Tree,” from the 1998 album, “Before These Crowded Streets.” Launched in October 2011, the collection includes a 2010 Central Coast Chardonnay, 2009 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and 2009 North Coast Crush red blend.
The Dreaming Tree wines offer consumers distinct flavors and aromas unique to California’s North and Central coasts. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon provides classic aromas of blackberry, cherry and dry herb notes wrapped by toasted vanilla and soft, mouth filling tannins which are both elegant and effortless. The 2010 Chardonnay jumps out of the glass with aromas reminiscent of roasted pear, complimented by robust fruit and citrus flavors unique to the Central Coast. For the Crush – a proprietary Zinfandel and Merlot blend which shares its name with the popular Dave Matthews Band song, “Crush,” – Reeder and Matthews succeeded in creating a multi-dimensional wine with smoky notes and a pop of raspberry.
The commitment to providing a high-value, environmentally conscious product is an important aspect of The Dreaming Tree brand. Bottles used for The Dreaming Tree wines are 50 percent lighter than the average wine bottle, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint as the wines are transported. The natural cork closure is sustainably grown, and the bottle’s label is made with 100% recycled kraft brown paper and sealed with an eco-friendly sealant.
